Local park gets a make over

We were proud to be part of this Christchurch City Council initiative where local school children planted trees and protected them with natural plant protectors - including our Eco Gards.

Planting for the next generation

We love seeing kids and families out there taking part in community tree planting events.  This is from the 'Summer in the Styx' event in Christchurch.

Along the roadside

The Christchurch Coastal Pathway group is doing amazing things between Sumner and Ferrymead.  Pictured is our original model of Eco Gard protecting new natives with our plant guards.  We've refined our design since to make them quicker to install.

Blending in to the environment

Park rangers and volunteers have been busy at the Port Hills in Canterbury.  These Eco Gard tree protectors were installed about a year before the photo was taken, and they are doing well.

customer feedback

What a fabulous product! I was looking for tree protectors to not only protect my recent investments from the upcoming Southland winter, but also from the rabbits that kept over-pruning my new trees! I really didn't want to use any plastic, so I was so happy to find the Eco Gards. The  number one selling point for me was that they were eco-friendly, natural and bio-degradable… I am very pleased overall. I will definitely continue to use the Eco Gard for future plantings.

Jana Cornes, Southland

I can vouch for the refined 2 stake design being smart, quicker and easier to install than the older version.  While these are more expensive than the plastic versions available, there are no concerns about these choking dolphins and other wildlife. There’s also no need to dispose of them at the end of their life, saving time on man hours and dumping fees. Simply leave them in the environment to biodegrade naturally.

Heath Melville, Land Management & Biodiversity Advisor for Environment Canterbury in Kaikoura

We bought 50 Eco Gards last month and absolutely love them!  We've had very strong winds and driving hail the last few days and they are all still doing their job.  Will definately be buying more when we plant out the next stage.

Julia Latham, Southland

We are pleased with the performance of the Eco Gards, and we'll look to use more of them in future.
